The Mets hit a little skid here 5 game losing streak at the wrong time of the season, but they have enough depth in that team to hold on a make a good run down the stretch. The Yanks swept Bo Sox, I LOVE IT. We play them in Boston 9/14 - 9/16, and should be able to take over 1st after that series. Look for a subway series late October.

Hi Guys,

I was away for a few days playing, I had a decent run. I have to tell you about a situation I ran into. I was doing well at a 20 – 40 NL game and a friend of mine was losing, (he’s been on a bad streak for a little while now) so he decided to change his “luck” and go to a low limit game. After another hour of play, I decided to see how he was doing, he tripled his buy $100 up to $305. I sat down with him to be social and there was a guy who was losing and complaining at the table. He was telling me how his pockets aces were cracked by 2 middle pair, I let go on for a little while, but I had to let him know that YOU LOSE ALL WHINING RIGHTS WHEN YOU PLAY A LOW LIMIT GAME. He asked what I meant and the conditions in a game of this nature don’t allow you protect your hand as they would be in a higher limit game.
We went for a beer and started talking about various conditions we have played under and what conditions would be good to play in. We all want a “pigeon” or dead money at the table with us. Mentally you are ready, in the past my wife has asked me to pick up something at the store or drop something off, by the time I got done, I didn’t feel like playing and shouldn’t of, my head wasn't in the game and of course it wasn’t a good session. I’ve seen players tired, in a bad mood, thinking about work or personal problems, GO HOME AND COME BACK WHEN YOUR READY TO PLAY YOUR GAME or your are setting yourself up for disaster. Go in with a good attitude and play solid, and have fun while making money. If you go in with the mentality that your ready to play and you pick a comfortable limit to play in your chances of being successful will greatly increase.
Remember if your in a low limit game, and you get sucked out for $12. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF

Look for Texas to lose today against Seattle as a home dog,there a home dog for a reason. I also like Chi White Sox as a huge home dog, they're not having a great year, but its a good value bet

Going Against The Grain

Hi all,

On Saturday night I was short stacked in a tournament with 6 players left, I had $80,000. I get pocket 10s under the gun, blinds were 8,000 - 16,000. I called, next 2 players folded, the button went all in 150,000, SB (big stack 350,000) called, BB (110,000)called, . It came to me and I folded. I know was getting 4 to 1 on my money but I felt with 3 people all in I was probably behind or at best in a race against a bunch of over cards. Raiser KQ, SB AK,
BB 88, The flop was J 3 6, turn K, river was 7. It worked out good because SB knocked out 2 players and I moved up 2 spaces in the money. Next Hand I got KK and tripled up. I ended up 2nd because I folded pocket 10s. People say I should have pushed in that situation, but I just didn't want to risk my tournament on 10s, definitely Ks but not 10s. Even though it worked out was it the right decision at the time?
